Welcome to Mickey’s Gym. It may not be the place to work out, but it is a place to work out. The owner, Mickey, built his gym on old school principles and standard weight machines – no frilly spas, thigh masters or stair steppers here. However, it’s the 1980s and the gym is in desperate need of a facelift. Gym manager, Lisa, thinks that if the gym becomes a Vic Tanny franchise, all will be well. The plan? Clean the place up a bit. Maybe get rid of the actual gym rats and replace them with “gym rats” and new members.
Perhaps the fancy new power couple, Amy and Frank Hermans, will become members if they participate in the new aerobics class offered by instructor Sarah. If Sarah can’t get the couple to do a little jazzercise, she can certainly get Michael and Zach, the regular “muscle dudes” at the gym, to step away from the punching bags and do some lunges and toe touches, right?
The landlord has given them 90 days to turn it around or Mickey’s Vic Tanny dreams will be dashed and the place will become a parking lot. Can they pull it off? Banker Pat isn’t so sure. We’ll have to find out. In the meantime, sit back and be entertained by the hilarious characters, crazy antics and the “totally awesome” 1980s soundtrack!
