Baumeister Sodas and Diamonds and Gold present Let Me Be Frank Productions’ all-new comedy musical, “Little Chutes and Ladders” this June. It may seem like fun and games, but there’s more to this twisting, turning 1970s tale!

“Little Chutes and Ladders” opens Friday, June 7 with a benefit show supporting Downtown Green Bay. For Friday evening’s performance, $10 of every ticket goes to this deserving organization in our community. “Little Chutes and Ladders” then runs Thursday-Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. June 7-22.  Matinee performances will take place on Saturday, June 15 and Thursday, June 20 at 1 p.m. at the Meyer Theatre. Tickets are available at meyertheatre.org or by calling Ticketstar at 920-494-3401. An out-of-town performance will be Wednesday, June 26 at The Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc at 7:30 p.m. Head to cccshows.org or call 920-683-1937 for tickets and more information.

Greetings from Little Chute — home of the Van Hermans Family! They’re the hippest family band since, well, the Partridge Family! Every girl in Outagamie County has a poster of David and Shaun Van Hermans hanging up in their bedroom. Uncle Danny Van Hibbard adds a little Wrightstown flavor to the family band with his bass.  Sprinkle in the vocals of Laurie Van Hermans and the direction of good old dad, Frank Van Hermans, and you’ve got hitmakers in the making.

Being a single dad is starting to get to Frank Van Hermans, though. He thinks another lead vocalist would help the band and a little motherly love would help the family. Enter Maria Von Trappe. She has the voice of an angel and the business smarts to take the family far!

Meanwhile, the Van Screwyou sisters, Gretel and Hansel (their father was convinced she would be a boy! Surprise!) want to build a Ye Old Dutch Company cookie plant right here in Little Chute. They believe the Little Chute windmill would be a great place to market their windmill cookies.

How can the money be raised to put a cookie factory in Little Chute? A music festival featuring the music of Van Hermans Family and serving windmill cookies, of course! A deal between the Van Hermans Family manager, Rueben Kinkaid, and the Van Screwyou sisters seems like it’s on the up and up…but, is it? Someone should always read the contract’s fine print! Will this festival be a disaster, or will everybody be singing along? We’ll have to find out.

Cast:  Frank Hermans as Frank Van Hermans, Blake Hermans as David Van Hermans, Michael O’Malley as Shaun Van Hermans, Pat Hibbard as Uncle Pat Van Hibbard, Lisa Borley as Laurie Van Hermans, Amy Riemer as Maria Von Trappe, Tom Verbrick as Rueben Kinkaid, Kasey Schumacher as Hansel Van Screwyou and Sarah Hibbard as Gretel Van Screwyou.
