Ebenezer Childs was a larger than life figure in Green Bay history. He actually served as Sheriff of Green Bay 1829-1836 and is responsible for 1/2 of all executions in the state of WI, two of them. He boasted about many things like; building the first frame house in Green Bay, building the first barge across the Fox River and many other things.
