Love Comes to Dairyland in “49 ½ Shades of Frank”
An all-new musical comedy from Let Me Be Frank Productions
Diamonds and Gold presents Let Me Be Franks all-new musical comedy “49 ½ Shades of Frank” at the Meyer Theater June 10 – 25. Almost every female has read the controversial book, “50 Shades of Gray” and LMBF’s takes a different spin on the movie and the book.
Our story takes place in Green Bay’s Alice in Dairyland pageant around the year 1969 (give or take). Much like 2016, the event is being held in Green Bay, this time at the Riverside Ballroom. The girls who work at the local phone company want in on the chance to win some groovy prizes. The girls’ boss at the phone company just happens to be the MC of the event and invites the girls to participate. Then the ball drops. The Wisconsin Cheese Board of Green Bay drops its sponsorship and the pageant is in peril. Meanwhile, Frank’s Kraut is seeing its sales drop in Northeastern Wisconsin and needs a little promotional help. To drum up sales, the Frank brothers join the pageant as a sponsor, but they’ve got more than sponsorship on their minds when it comes to the girls. Hilarity ensues with great music from the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. The Led Zeppelin Medley will be a Let Me Be Franks first! Opening night, Friday June 10th $10 of every ticket goes to the Alice in Dairyland event.
