#1. SWINGTIME CANTEEN – what’s it about?
1) Story: It’s Christmas, 1944 London. Movie legend Marian Ames is being
put out to pasture after four flop films in a row. But this no time for self pity, so she has
gathered up her instrument playing gal pals from the Hollywood Canteen and headed for
London to entertain the troops. The show takes its inspiration from the films and
personalties that helped to define the national consciousness know as “the war effort.”
