Southern Door Presents : A Muscial Comedy – TWO AND A HALF BELGIANS On January 10 @ 7:00 P.M and January 11 @ 2:00 P.M The Southern Door Community Auditoirum will present: Let Me Be Frank’s all new musical “Two and a Half Belgians”. Our story takes place at the Frosty Tip in Dyckesville, just north of Green Bay. The place and the city are the only real aspects of the story. The Frosty Tip was run from the 60’s thru the 80’s by the Pancratz family and is now run by the Dep…rey family. The Pankratz family consisted of nine boys, all of whom went to Premontre. Mom and Dad Pankratz funded the endeavor (Premontre) by working and owning the Frosty Tip in Dyckesville. Because of the nine boys in a row, one of our friends started calling each boy by the number and order of their births. So, the boy’s names were: 1- 9. I was friends with #9 (Mark) in high school and really didn’t know his name till later in life. Of course, Let Me Be Frank’s takes liberties with this numerical situation and makes a little fun out of it. That’s where two and a half comes in. The second oldest (played by Frank Hermans) is quite the large boy and Belgians Dad (Herky) and Mom (Mable) call him Two and a half, because calling him number two would do disservice to the symbol. And because number two just doesn’t sit well in most situations. The story takes place in the summer of ‘68. The boys are hoping for some of the female persuasion FIB’s to make a stop at the drive in and maybe hook up with a couple. Let Me Be Frank’s gives the true meaning of a FIB but keeps it PG. Amy Wrigley, Lisa Halas, and Kasey McCaskey stop by in their custom 57’ Chevy for a little grub before heading to Fish Creek. The boys poke a little fun at the girls and in turn the girls poke back. Two and a half is smitten with one of the girls and is hoping for a rendezvous at Peninsula state Park. Hilarity ensues and the music will just blow you away. With songs such as: Black is Black, Cinnamon, Rescue me, A Different Drum, Mrs. Robinson, Jackson, Red Rubber Ball and many many more. The show stars: Pat Hibbard (#1 and bass guitar) Frank Hermans (#2 ½) Tom Verbrick (#3) David Gusloff (#4) Amy Riemer as Amy Wrigley, Lisa Borley as Lisa Halas and Kasey Corrado as Kasey McCaskey. Band: Dennis Panneck guitars, Tony Pilz keyboards and Adam Cain drums.
